Most pages about Carnoustie accommodation are about hotels. If you would rather have a cottage or lodge with a hot tub for your golf trip or beach weekend, these are the ones we list. Several are in Carnoustie itself, and the rest are out towards Carmyllie, Inverkeilor and Aberlemno, nearest first. Distances are straight-line miles from the town centre.
Carnoustie Golf Links has three courses, the Championship, the Burnside and the Buddon Links, and has hosted The Open several times, most recently in 2018. You do not have to play to enjoy the town: the beach is wide and flat, with the Buddon dunes behind, and the high street has what you need for a few days. The train to Dundee takes about twenty minutes, and Dundee’s waterfront is an easy day out. East along the coast are Arbroath and its abbey; our Arbroath guide has more on that side.
Several of the Carnoustie stays are in a group of cottages where the hot tub is shared and has to be booked in slots rather than used when you like. We label these “Shared, bookable” on the card so you know before you click. If a private tub matters to you, use the Hot tub filter and choose Private. The Carmyllie stay, a few miles inland, has a private one.
For a golf group, use the sleeps filter to find six or more beds. Most of the Carnoustie stays accept a dog, and the Carmyllie stay takes two, but the number and any charge vary, so read the owner’s rules before booking. Tee times are not part of the cottage booking; arrange those with the course directly, well ahead in summer.
Press Check Prices & Availability on a stay to go to the holiday company’s booking page for dates and the total. The nightly figure on the card is a guide price from the feed.
