Privacy

Angus Hot Tub Escapes is an independent guide to hot tub stays. You can use every page without telling us who you are. This page covers the few times you do.

What we collect

Only what you type into one of our forms:

  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and your message. It comes to us by email so we can reply.
  • Reviews: the name you give, when you stayed and what you wrote. We read them before anything is published.
  • List your property: your name, email, phone, postcode and the type of property, sent to us by email.

We don’t ask for payment details. Bookings are made with the holiday company that lets each cottage, on their website.

What we do with it

We use your details to answer you, to publish your review, or to talk to you about listing your property. We don’t sell them, share them with advertisers or add you to a mailing list.

Cookies

We set one cookie, and only when you save a cottage to your shortlist. Our cookie page has the details.

Other websites

When you press Check Prices & Availability you go to the holiday company’s own website, sometimes through an affiliate network that tells them we sent you. From then on their privacy policy applies, not ours.

Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, cottage photos from our own image server and, on cottage pages, map tiles from OpenStreetMap. Those services see your IP address, as any website you load does.

How long we keep it

Emails from the contact and listing forms are kept for as long as we need them to deal with what you asked, then deleted. Published reviews stay on the site unless you ask us to take them down.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. Get in touch and we’ll do it. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
