Hot tub lodges in Perthshire: what you can actually book

Perthshire has the biggest choice of hot tub stays on this site, and it is not one place but several. You can pick a lodge above Pitlochry with the hills at the back door, a cottage on the Tay near Perth, a barn conversion in the Sidlaws or a house on the road to Glenshee. We list the ones with a hot tub on the property and leave out the ones where the tub is a “nearby leisure club” extra.

The stays here sit in towns and villages including Pitlochry, Killiecrankie, Bridge of Cally, Blacklunans, Stanley, Forgandenny and Abernyte, plus a handful with a Perth address. That gives you a real spread of settings, which is why the cards are worth reading rather than just sorting by price.

Private, wood-fired or shared: check the tub first

Not every “hot tub lodge” is the same thing. A private tub is yours alone for the whole stay. A wood-fired tub is heated with a stove and a good supply of logs, so it takes planning but suits a cold Perthshire night. A shared tub has to be booked by the hour. We read the tub type from each owner’s listing and print it on the card, and where the listing does not say, the card just says “hot tub” rather than guessing.

If the tub matters more than anything else on your trip, use the Hot tub filter beside the cards and tick Private or Wood-fired. If you want a longer read on the wood-fired ones, there is a page for that: wood-fired hot tub cottages.

Log cabins and lodges, and what “lodge” means here

People search for lodges, log cabins and cottages as if they were different products. In Perthshire the line is blurry. Some “lodges” are single-storey timber buildings; others are stone-built houses that the owner has simply called a lodge. When you open a stay, the photos and the bedroom count tell you more than the name does, and the sleeps number on each card is the figure the owner will actually let you book for.

Dogs, woodburners and the other details that decide a stay

Most Perthshire stays here allow dogs, but the rules differ: some take one dog, some two, and a few charge. The filters let you narrow to dogs welcome, and you can add Woodburner for a cold-weather break or Near a pub if you would rather walk to dinner. Both are read from the feed, not from marketing copy.

Choosing your part of Perthshire

Around Pitlochry you are close to the theatre, the river walks and the Killiecrankie gorge; our where to stay near Pitlochry guide covers that corner properly. Nearer Perth and Stanley the landscape flattens and the road network is easier. The Abernyte stays sit in the Sidlaw hills, a short drive from Dundee, so if the city is the draw, start with hot tub lodges near Dundee instead.

Whichever corner you choose, press Check Prices & Availability on the stay itself to go to the holiday company’s booking page. The price on the card is the nightly figure from the feed and the booking page shows the live total for your dates.

Questions guests ask

Which part of Perthshire is best for a hot tub lodge?

It depends on the trip. Pitlochry and Killiecrankie suit walkers and anyone who wants hills and a town with restaurants close by. Stanley and the Perth stays are easier to reach by road. Abernyte sits in the Sidlaw hills and is the handy one for Dundee.

Are these Perthshire stays private hot tubs?

Most are, and each card says so. Some are wood-fired and a few are shared and need a time slot booked. Where an owner has not said, the card says “hot tub” without a type.

Can I bring my dog to a Perthshire hot tub lodge?

Many accept dogs, but the number and any charge vary. Tick Dogs welcome in the filters to see only the ones that do, and check the owner’s rules on the stay page before you book.

How do I book?
