Burnbrae Cottage Reviews

Overall the cottage was very comfortable and in an excellent location, if you want beautiful views and peace and quiet. The garden is lovely and the hot tub is a bonus.I did find the kitchen amenities basic, for example no scissors and a lot of the crockery was chipped. Some of the information on the website is also inaccurate, for example no welcome pack and there is no off-road parking.

A group of 5 of us decided to go on a wee weekend break and picked Burnbrae Cottage. We were incredibly pleased with it. The place has everything we needed and more! The beds are incredibly comfy. Would love to know where the mattress toppers were purchased from. We all had a really good sleep each night and didn’t want to leave. Hot tub was lovely and overall we feel the cottage was absolutely excellent value for money. If you are looking to book here, do it. You will not be disappointed. We hope to come back in the summer.

2 friends - Booked this wee cottage in December 2023 with the view that we wanted to do something different for NYE 24’ and we weren’t disappointed. Truly beautiful wee cottage, it was cosy and comfortable… beds were very comfortable, especially the master, which we ended up just sharing as it is a super king. Loved the original features as well as the new. Freestanding bath was beaut. Two of the selling points for us were the wood burning fire and the hot tub… again they went down a treat. Lots of quirks to the cottage with doors leading to various rooms, which we had a giggle figuring out. We didn’t meet the owners, I had text Gareth prior to our arrival and keys were left on table for us. We did however have some text communication during our stay and he seemed a lovely host. On our last evening and whilst in the hot tub we were very lucky to have a full show from Aurora, which was the perfect end to what felt like the perfect stay in a wee home away from home. Would love to have returned next year but someone beat us to it, whoever you are, you won’t be disappointed. But we shall definitely return one day, with family who were slightly envious at our posts. Thank you for sharing your beautiful wee haven with us.
