Bruach Gorm Cottage Reviews

Fab cottage in the heart of Granton on Spey
This is our second visit to this cottage. Its a great place to stay, has everything one would need. Also lots of space if you have children with you. Car parking next to the house. A short walk to the shops, Co-op and cafes/restaurant. The cottage is perfect. The owners live in an ajoining house and are very helpful.
Great Holiday Let.
Had a lovely stay. Cottage was clean and very roomy. loved our holiday. Would highly recommend it. Would certainly return. Dog loved the forest walks that were nearby. Great base for exploring this part of the country.
A hidden gem.
Bruach Gorm Cottage is a great house, in perfect location for all shops, pubs and restaurants. Great walks on the doorstep.
This is a beautiful property and has everything a family would need for their stay. We would have no hesitation in booking this property again for another break. I would therefore have no problem in highly recommending it to anyone considering booking.
This is a fantastic house - very comfortable with absolutely everything we needed and more besides.
Wonderful property
This is a fantastic house - it had absolutely everything we needed and much more, it was spotlessly clean when we arrived and it's in a great location, just off the high street. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants within a few minutes walk as well as a decent supermarket. The owner was lovely and very welcoming. The Anagach woods just by the house were absolutely beautiful in September with the heather in full bloom.
Excellent standard of accommodation, very well equipped and spacious. Close to village and fabulous local walks from the doorstep.
A really superior property, convenient for shops and local walks.
The accommodation was fantastic and we were really impressed with the friendliness of the owners.
Bruach Gorm Cottage is a really gorgeous place for a holiday. This was probably the best holiday home we ever stayed in.
Very impressed with the location and layout of the Cottage. Shops, woodland walks, eateries and evening entertainment were in close proximity. The Cottage caters extremely well for a family and we were particularly impressed with items such as board games, books, family DVD's and games console for those inevitable rainy days. There was a large enclosed garden which the kids loved, the owner was very friendly and welcoming and it was ideal for a dog owner. The Cottage is discreetly tucked away behind other properties which enhances that feeling of privacy. In terms of geography the Cottage is only 30 mins from most tourist attractions which suited the kids. Overall, loved this holiday and would not hesitate to return, excellent! Thanks for a great week.
Lovely clean and spacious house in good position, within walking distance of shops, pubs and hotels. Had a welcome pack of groceries which was appreciated.
The cottage was excellent with a very welcoming and friendly owner. A great location for exploring and lots of forest walks nearby, ideal for dog owners. The locals we met on our walks and in local cafes were also very friendly and we were made to feel welcome wherever we went.
Hidden Gem
Just returned from spending the New Year week with my husband, daughter, son in law two granddaughters and our dog. Spacious, cosy, well equipped everything we had hoped for and more. Although tucked away at the back of houses it is in an excellent location, 5 mins to the co-op and near excellent forest walks for the dog. The cottage is very child and dog friendly with its own garden for them to play in.
This is the second time we have stayed at Bruach Gorm so that says it all. Three generations had space within the house and did not feel on top of each other. Kitchen items are of high quality as are all the furnishings.
This was our second time at BruachGorm cottage and have loved it both times. It is an ideal location for anybody wanting to discover this area. We loved the enclosed garden for our young kids to play in. The owner adds little touches like, locally sourced groceries waiting for you on arrival. We even managed to see the neighbours hens and he was kind enough to give us 2 fresh eggs for our kids breakfast.
Exceptionally well equipped property with lovely added extras. We very much appreciated the homemade jam, bread, juice and fresh flowers. The Highland Stoneware crockery was beautiful and exceptionally good for a rental property. We had a lovely week and thanks to the advise of two helpful ladies in the local bookshop found some great places to visit.
Exceptional, I would only recommend it to my best friend if I co

The great outdoors is on the doorstep, good amenities in the small town of Grantown, the owners and their family were really friendly and helpful, in fact all the people we met were the friendliest in any part of the country, not because they had to be just because they were.
Excellent 5 Stars
Cottage is very well maintained and owner is very friendly and helpful. The groceries and homemade marmalade was very welcomed, as were the fresh flowers, little Easter eggs and biscuits for the dog. Cottage is easily kept clean and kitchen is very well equipped with quality appliances, nothing has been supplied on a budget. The enclosed garden is a real bonus so we could let our dog could laze in the sun without worry.
The property provided a great base for exploring this part of the Highlands and really handy for skiing. There are some really good woodland walks just round the corner, great for exercising the dog!
The house was beautiful and very well equipped we had a fantastic time in a beautiful place there is plenty to do around the area. The woods over the road from the property are fantastic the people are so welcoming and the celebrations in Grantown on new years eve are a credit to the town. We had an excellent time.
Lovely cottage, beautifully maintained
Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The owner provided groceries, they were very welcome and cup cakes where delicious. The owner was very welcoming and happy to help if she could.
The personal touches and welcome pack were appreciated, excellent facilities, a home from home. The host was very friendly. Good location to explore the surrounding area, we loved it!
Location and it was very spacious and clean. We could not fault it at all.
The cottage was great, ideal for our holiday. The owner was on hand if we needed anything & supplied a starter food pack, very much appreciated. Lots to do in and around Grantown-on-spy. Very handy for shops and we particularly liked the cycle tracks through the forest, and the golf courses were fantastic. Had a great time!
Personal welcome and grocery starter pack. Good quality crockery and towels and DVDs for the children. Location is fantastic being walking distance to shops. Nice quiet location . One of the best cottages we have stayed in. We wanted to stay longer.
The cottage was in a great location, just near the woods and two minutes from the town. It had a lovely open plan living area and has been furnished to a high standard. The kitchen was very well equiped. Loved the highland stoneware plates. We all found it very comfortable and were delighted with all the goodies in our welcome pack, including easter eggs and home made jam. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.
Easily accessed forest walks and local shops and eateries. We liked the house itself and the very kind assistance of the owner who resided next door.
Lovely well-equipped house and helpful, friendly owner. Great area with something for all age groups.
Our stay was great. The house was new, it was very good and was a nice trip to Scotland.
Lovely house with all amenities in a beautiful area with something for all ages. Lots to do and see. Thoughtful touches like the food in fridge, herb pot at back door and mini eggs for our grandchildren in a wee ornament! Can highly recommend a stay here!
The cottage was modern, bright, very spacious, well equipped and the owners were pleasant and very helpful.
our highland home
we were meade to feel welcome at Bruch Gorm Cottage from the moment we arrived there. the facilities and the general feel of the place were excellent with plenty of space for us and our dog. the enlcosed garden was a bonus. All in all a real home from home and a fabulous break.
A beautifully equipped house, a friendly welcome from the owner and a very enjoyable week.
The property was comfortable and bright and the owner was really helpful.
One of the best holiday cottages we've ever had
Could not fault this cottage or the host - even our dog had a friend to play with! Friendly welcome, cottage immaculate and easily kept clean, very well situated for town amenities and forest for dog walking, loads of active sports in area to keep kids and dad occupied. Owner even apologised for the weather but it didn't stop us doing anything.
Fantastic cottage, lots of room for young children to burn energy, and a great location for nearby walks. The enclosed garden was perfect for the children and dog.
