Riverbank House Reviews

Steven
Lovely spacious and comfortable property, superb bass for exploring the Scottish Highlands.
Sharon
After taking 12 hours to get to Riverbank house it certainly did not disappoint it is a beautiful home very clean and in a lovely location, it is very comfortable especially at night when you have the log burner on. Its lovely and cosy. There is also a hot tub and in the mornings you often see the deer standing by the gate waiting for you to feed them. It is absolutely magical. The stag room is a lovely room to either sit reading a book or just looking out of the window at the birds or deers , our trips were Isle of Skye , Mallaig Ullapool Glencoe on the cable car The scenery was amazing . We walked up old man of storr , and went to the Ben Nevis range .& Glenfinnan viaduct which was brilliant. Our last trip was Eilean Donnan Castle. We had such an amazing time in Scotland and our stay in riverbank house we will certainly be booking up again next year .
A fantastic big, well equipped house. Absolutely no negatives at all with the house, the location or correspondence with the owner everything was excellent. We wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Had an amazing stay at Riverbank House. Thankyou for sharing your beautiful home. House was very clean and in a lovely location. Went through over 10kg of carrots feeding the local deer who arrived at the back gate dusk and dawn. There are 2 pubs who serve food less than 5 mins walk and plenty of walks from the house. Great location for exploring the beautiful Highlands. Can't fault in any way!!
Michelle
Beautiful spacious house in an excellent location. Close to Fort William, Ben Nevis, Glenfinnan Viaduct and many other attractions. Scenery is great, we especially loved our daily visits from the wild deer and stags!
Gillian
Lovely comfortable house, we had a great week!
Catherine
The property was perfect for us. We had six adults and a baby and there was plenty of space for everyone. The deer we saw regularly from the house were lovely and we even saw a red squirrel. House was very well equipped and very clean. We would certainly go back if we holiday in this area again. The owner was also very approachable and helpful. Excellent.
Lovely property with lots to do in the area and beyond, the owner is a lovely lady very helpful and pleasant. My wife and I had a great time with the added bonus of feeding the deer that came down from the woods adjoining the back garden to greet us.
Excellent property in a beautiful location. Very well equipped and extremely clean.
This holiday home is really wonderful. Very comfortable and well equipped. The location is fantastic, plenty of lovely walks to do, right from your doorstep. Deer visit daily and love a carrot or some apple. The hot tub is a lovely bonus, we were watching shooting stars at night, very romantic. The lodge owner is very friendly and helpful. I'm sure if you needed anything, they would be able to help. Plenty of books and DVDs at the lodge, so you wouldn't need to bring much. Even a pair of binoculars to spot the deer in the 'deer room'. A great big TV in the lounge, sky TV, free WIFI, a wood burning stove for chilly nights. All the items you could ever need in the kitchen. We had the most wonderful stay, we most definitely will return to this lodge for another holiday. One of the best we have ever stayed in, if not the best. Thank you very much for providing this most fantastic holiday home with so many home comforts, too many to list. We highly recommend!
Riverbank House was beautiful the pictures do not do it justice, what a beautiful home in a beautiful setting. Correspondence with owner was excellent. The house has everything you need and the hot tub is a great size. Beds were very comfortable and rooms are very spacious. We had trips to Oban, Fort William, Fort Augustus and Glencoe and saw some breathtaking scenery, we also had a visit to Morar beach which was beautiful, white sand and clear water. Would definitely recommend staying here.
The house was well located, spotlessly clean and was superbly equipped with everything that you could possibly want. The house just felt loved as soon as we walked in to the property! There was information and guidance on all of the equipment in a handy folder!
Excellent property Extremely well located for exploring The Highlands. Good quality food and drink within easy walking distance.
Beautiful house in a beautiful area. House was very well equipped and spotlessly clean on arrival, Communication with owner was excellent before and after stay. Would thoroughly recommend for a peaceful stay in a beautiful part of the Highlands.
A very well equipped and positioned property for exploring the Ben Nevis area. The property was large, comfortable, easy to find with plenty of parking. The stag viewing room and hot tub were particular favourites of the family.
Graham
The house gave us a real home from home. The interior is lovely and the house is very spacious. It is situated down a very quiet lane and is great for seeing birds and animals and on a clear night there is a stunning night sky view. The location was ideal for us to explore the West Highlands and has good road and rail connections as well as great eating options close by.
Very well equipped house and plenty of space. Hot tub was an added bonus.
The property was absolutely brilliant. Light, airy, spacious and spotlessly clean. The facilities were outstanding and the attention to detail impressive. There was plenty of information provided on things to do and recommendations of where to eat the local Inn was excellent The location of the property is so peaceful and a great place for walks. The local wildlife visited daily! I cannot recommend this place highly enough
An exemplary holiday home in a perfect setting. The owner has put alot of thought and attention into the property which provides everything you could possibly need for the ultimate home from home experience. The house is in a great location too with so many amazing walks and sites from the doorstep. The daily visits from the local deer family were just the icing on the cake! The only negative is that a week is just not long enough to fit everything in.
Yvonne
Absolutely loved our stay at this wonderful house. The space was incredible. Everything you could think of was provided and of great quality. Lovely location too. Owners always on hand for anything. Would highly recommend a stay here.
Carolyn
Riverbank House was lovely even nicer than we expected. The house was spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. All three bedrooms are a good size and it was really nice to have the three bathshower rooms. The 'Stag Room' study was a great space for anyone preferring a good book to the television. Location blissfully quiet! We had a lovely holiday.
From booking our holiday to arriving and staying in our wonderful rental home everything was excellent , The description of the rental was absolutely accurate and this rental has to be the best our family has ever had by miles. Thank you.
Abigail
The house was absolutely gorgeous surrounded by lovely scenic areas. If you walk up the back of the house, you will see some highland cows which we loved!
Our expectations were already high and am pleased to say they were met. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into providing this property to the greater general public and have to say that it works very well. Most enjoyable time was had during our week at Riverbank House.
A beautiful house in a peaceful location , Riverbank House looked great on paper but was even better in reality loads of room , spotlessly clean and really well equipped everything you could ask for in a holiday home with the addition of a resident family of deer in the woods behind the garden make sure you take some apples and carrots ! Plenty to see and do in this amazing part of the country nd then come back and sink into the hottub , bliss!
The cottage was spacious and spotless with all the facilities required and more. The location was perfect for exploring, walking and mountain biking. The owners were most helpful with our enquiries. The only issue was that it was too hot to use the hot tub! A great week!
The house was lovely, spacious and had everything we could need. Sky tv, wifi, games and a great DVD collection provided amusement in the evenings which was great for the kids.
Michelle
The owners of this property really ensure you have everything at hand that you need for your stay. The property is immaculate throughout and much care and attention is given to finer details. You walk out of the back of the property and there are stags in the wood waiting for apples to munch! Our week at the property was wonderful and we would highly recommend it.
Amazing house
This property was far better than expected even from the photos! Great location, peaceful, luxurious yet with utmost comfort. Would recommend this to anyone.
Michael
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riverbank House in June 2019. The house is very comfortable, roomy, beautifully furnished and well equipped. The location is convenient for interesting trips, highlights of which for us were the Isle of Skye, Aviemore esp Mountain Cafe which is a foodies delight, the Jacobite steam train to Mallaig Tea Garden Cafe provided good food, and the Abriachan Nursery which has interesting plants and great views overlooking Loch Ness.
Alison
The house was wonderful and the homeowner made sure we had a great stay.
Fantastic house that lived up to all our expectations and beyond. Would highly recommend.
Deborah
We had a relaxing holiday, with the added bonus of the regular visit from stumpy, the hot tub for relaxing in after those long walks. We would recommend this accommodation as it felt like home there wasn't a single thing we needed every last thing was thought about. Aimee was amazing kept us up to date with what was happening with regards to maintenance. We loved it that much we would go back there when we visit again.
Shelton
Our stay at Riverbankhouse was amazing, its a bit of paradise, from detail to facilities. We honestly couldnt recommend it enough, the local stag with three legs is a little gem. we named it stumpy loves carrots & apples. Having the hot tub with the sunshine we had that week was 10stars. Its so cosy with the log fire on in the evenings. Having quite a few outdoor hobbies like cycling and wildlife photography I was just in the right place. So much to visit up in Scotland. We loved every minute, and for sure we will go again. Shelton & Georgina x
Alexander
