Had a lovely 7 night stay in August with four children and two dogs, couldnt fault the property just as advertised and even better than we expected. Well equipped laundry room. Starter of washing pods, dishwasher etc was great. Nice quantity of logs for stove, nice weather so we did not use them. Absolutely lovely welcome pack! We had an absolutely fantastic stay with our group of six friends. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the incredible views over the surrounding valley and the beautiful house itself. The property was tastefully decorated, spotless, cosy and exceptionally comfortable. We honestly could have stayed for the whole week! The hot tub overlooking the valley was the perfect way to relax after our road trip and was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Our host was amazing and incredibly welcoming. We got a little lost on the way as the written directions were not easy to follow, but he kindly guided us over the phone and made sure we arrived without any problems. The attention to detail, the thoughtful welcome gifts, the cleanliness and the layout of the house all made our stay even more enjoyable. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend this place its a perfect 1010!

We were delighted with Whitehouse Woodwrae. The owners have gone to great trouble to make it friendly and welcoming, down to vases of flowers on the table and some provisions to get started with. Everything we could have needed, and more, was provided. Beds were comfortable we slept very well!, there were books, games and even a guitar, although none of us can play! Lack of time, and the weather, meant we failed to try out the hot tub. Maybe next time! Perhaps the outstanding thing about the house was its setting, with a fantastic view from almost every room in the house, and the garden, of the panoramic view westwards over the South Esk valley to the Grampians. We never tired of it. The house made a perfect base for us to get to a family wedding in Aberlemno church and to the family home and reception at Mains of Balgavies. This is a beautiful house which exceeded our expectations. The house, garden, views, hot tub and location were perfect. The owners made everything easy and we had everything we needed. There was a lovely welcome pack, beds and sofas were all very comfy, excellent showers and the hot tub was always ready to use. We had wonderful weather during our stay and enjoyed visiting the coast, local castles, St Andrews, the Cairngorms, there is just so much to do! We were also so lucky that the swifts and swallows were nesting we loved watching them dart about in the evening sun. It was the perfect break for us 2 adults, a teen and dog. Thank you so much we really hope we can return.

We had a wonderful stay at 'Whitehouse Woodwrae Farm'. This property is 5 star plus. The house is very modern, light and cleaned to a very high standard.The views from the property are spectacular. We saw lots of wildlife including deer on the the local walks. There is ample onsite parking for cars and the property is secure for dogs. The hot tub was wonderful to use especially at night time when you can see the stars. The log fire is nice on colder evenings. There are lots of lovely local walks and dog friendly pubs too in the area. Thank you Elaine and David for your hospitality.

We had an amazing stay! The hot tub was a real highlight, perfect for relaxing while enjoying the beautiful views. The farm setting was peaceful and charming, offering a unique and refreshing experience. The place was clean, cozy, and well equipped, and the host was friendly and responsive. Booked here as we were attending our aunt & uncles internment of ashes in Dundee found it to be a lot better than we anticipated. Only 30 minutes from Dundee so bonus for us. David & Elaine were accommodating from start to finish any queries we had were answered immediately couldnt ask for better hosts. The house was amazing ,spacious and bigger than we thought even our family from Dundee who came to visit were amazed at what a lovely property it was. The welcome hamper and dog treats were a lovely added bonus the only regret we had was that we wished we could have stayed longer. But we will definitely return!!

This is the second time we have stayed. Hosts were very accommodating. Highchair and travel cot were available for us. The farmhouse has all amenities you require. Hot tub is a lovely addition, the views are outstanding. Very peaceful and just what we needed for a relaxing time away. The farmhouse is also pet friendly allowing us to take our dog, it has an enclosed garden for pet security.

Lovely modern house arrived to a lovely welcome basket. We stayed here for my 60th and it did not disappoint. Hot tub was well used and cooked in the house both days. Views and walks from the house with our dog was great. Not far to venture out to places like Brechin and Forfar and further a field.

Lovely property. Had the best day ever. We used to go for walks in the day with both dogs and come back to use the hot tub. Didn't realise there was a bedroom and bathroom downstairs, so didn't use upstairs. But the house is lovely, cozy and warm. Used the fireplace too most nights. No issues staying here and would love to come back. The short path off the main road is a little bumpy but worth it!

The property was stunning. Very homely and welcoming, beautifully decorated and gorgeous scenery. The location is great not far from the nearest towns and a good distance from Dundee and Aberdeen if you wanted to venture into the city. The hot tub was thoroughly enjoyed by the adults and children, and the dogs loved the peaceful walking areas surrounding the property. This cottage really is as beautiful as it looks. Only thing I would change is how long we stayed should have been longer. Loads to do nearby beaches, mountains, historic houses but the house is perfect if the Scottish weather makes outdoor activities less appealing.

We were there for Christmas and the owners had put up a Christmas tree for us arriving which was a nice touch. The cottage was amazing, clean and had absolutely everything we needed. The views from the cottage were beautiful and made the hot tub even more enjoyable. We would not hesitate in going back. The communication from the owners was also excellent. We had a fantastic week staying at whitehouse woodwrae. The house is large & spacious with plenty of room for 6 without being on top of each other. Beds are very comfortable best we've slept on being away from home. Cooking facilities are home from home had everything in the kitchen to make meals. The whole house was clean & welcoming with a goody basket on arrival for us & our dogs who loved the outside garden. Hot tub is a great bonus after a day of exploring the area. Great well appointed property with absolutely everything you need. Very high spec for everything comfy beds and great bath and showers. Really helped having the boot room too. The views are gorgeous including all the birds and other wildlife. Lots of great places to visit locally without having to go too far afield. Great having owners next door they were there if we needed them. Very responsive to messages. Thoroughly recommend this property you absolutely wouldn't be disappointed. Could have spent the whole holiday looking out at the Glens, the animals with just an occasional dip in the hot tub.

Our stay at Woodwrae, Whitehouse was absolutely fantastic. The house is spacious, well thought out, comfortable and has everything thought of. The views from the hot tub and the front windows are amongst the best we've ever had, even witnessed deer running through the fields on a couple of occasions. It's safe to say that the place stole our hearts, and we will definitely be back again, the hosts David & Elaine are lovely people, very approachable and nothing is too much trouble. Beautiful property on a quiet farm. Views were wonderful, saw some red kites and swallows every day. Hot tub was amazing too and we spent a few evenings watching shooting stars from it. House is a great size with lots of space, beds were incredibly comfortable. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout the house to make it perfect.

We absolutely loved our 2 week stay at Woodrae. The cottage itself has everything you need to be kept more than comfortable. The views from the decking are beautiful. The photos on the website do not do the place justice though as the property is much bigger than it looks! We simply loved it and didnt want to go home. The hosts made it clear that should we need anything then all we had to do was ask. They left us to our own devices whilst checking that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The whole stay was absolutely perfect. 1010 for the property and the hosts!
