We had a fantastic stay at the Sportsmans Lodge. The cottage was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean ideal for us and our two dogs. The garden was secure and wellkept, giving us peace of mind. Tucked away in a peaceful rural setting with breathtaking views, it still offers the convenience of being just a 10minute drive from shops and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and are already planning our next visit. Thank you, Donna!

We had a great week at the Sportsman's Lodge, the best cottage that we have ever booked for a holiday. The cottage is clean, fresh and modern inside. Hot tub was well used and enclosed garden was safe and secure for the dogs. Donna our host was lovely and lots to do and see in the local area and beyond.

Had a lovely week away at the Sportsmans lodge. Cottage was in an idyllic location and had everything we needed. The hot tub was an added bonus. Donna was always very fast at replying to messages and very friendly. Will definitely be back.
This property is extremely well presented. It is very well equipped and the cleanliness is of a very high standard. The owner made us very welcome and made themselves available should we need to call them. We would certainly recommend this property to others. We hope to return sometime soon..
Very well equipped and a lovely spot, hot tub a boost.

Lovely cottage in a rural location. Unfortunately the weather was awful for us so couldnt go on any local walks. Only between 1020 minutes for some great food to take back to the property. Sheltered hot tub great addition. Everything was super clean and we were comfortable. Always amazing to find a dog friendly place where we can let our dogs in the garden without worry of escape. Thank you!
We had the best stay at the sportsmans cottage! Everything we could of wanted, would 100 stay again, the garden was super secure which was perfect for our little boy, thank you so much
Perfect holiday home, Donna was the perfect unobtrusive host.
From the moment I arrived at the lodge, it felt like home. Donna the owner called shortly after my arrival, just to check everything was ok, and to give helpful advice on days out etc. The cottage was spotless and homely, and a lovely hamper with goodies for both myself and Ted my cocker spaniel companion was set out for us both, which was really thoughtful. We crammed in a lot of days out to various places such as Balmoral, Dunkeld, a visit to lunan bay beach on the east side of Scotland, which was beautiful. And the views from the living room as you relax are stunning, especially as the sun is rising in the distance in the morning, and then again at sunset. The garden is very secure for your four legged friend, and the hot tub is an added bonus. Everything you could want for is in the cottage, making it a fabulous place to call it home for the week. Definitely on my radar to return back to sportsman's lodge some time in the future.

Perfect cottage for those wanting to get away from it all. Facilities & cleanliness 1st class with excellent WiFi for those wanting to stay in touch. Great local dog walking within a short drive & the Cairngorms can be reached within half an hour for the more adventurous. Would recommend this cottage for anyone considering a stay in this part of Scotland.
Suzanne
Lovely cottage in beautiful location. Had everything needed and more for a comfortable stay. Felt very welcomed with the lovely snacks left by owner. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back in the future
Sportsmans Lodge is a lovely property to stay in, great that it is all on one level and a very easy layout to boot. A very comfy bed in the master bedroom and all the facilities you might need for day to day living whilst you are away. Great views from the lounge and some amazing sunsets were seen, as well as some inverted clouds which made for some quite spectacular scenery. The hot tub is a treat, great that it is covered and a great way to see the wonderful dark skies, so take a camera if this is what you are looking for. The owner has thought over everything you need for a comfortable stay. We would thoroughly recommend this property and location.
The Lodge is outstanding both in terms of cleanliness and facilities, hot tub is amazing as is the area, this was our second visit and we hope to return soon. Also Donna is a super host who is always available and great communicator.
George
Amazing week at Sportsman Lodge, we had a lovely welcome from Donna and a welcome pack which went down well, thank you. The cottage had everything we required. A lovely garden to sit in to enjoy the sun the hot tub was amazing. The cottage is a great base to travel to so many beauty spots, Reekie Linn waterfall and Backwater dam. The only negative is the week went by too quickly, I would definitely recommend this cottage.
Louise
Beautiful lodge, could not have asked for better, everything we needed and more. Donna has a lovely place that she maintains it to the highest standard.
We really enjoyed our stay. Excellent facilities in the property. A secure fence to keep our dogs safe and good views from all around. Lots to see and do in the area too. Would definitely recommend.
Sharon
Cottage was lovely and there are plenty of lots very walks and beautiful areas to visit but these are not direct from doorstep you do need to drive but worth it once there.
This property was absolutely stunning! It was perfect! Far enough outside the local town that you could switch off from everything and unwind, but close enough to the shops, fuel etc and activities to have adventures if you choose! Host was lovely, greeted us shortly after arrival and suggested some places to visit during our stay, we went to the beach and waterfall which were both beautiful, and the Wee Bear Cafe which was suggested was delicious! I would highly recommend this to all! For wildlife lovers we saw red kites from the property and a short drive from the lodge we saw osprey and red squirrels and some deer also! Endinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen were 11.5 hours away and definitely worth the visit! Being on the edge of the cairngorms there is definitely a large array of places or activities which makes this a perfect destination for anyone to stay! I would also like to mention that the locals were also super helpful, on the last day of our stay I had issues with one of my tyres deflating, after visiting a garage that was fully booked they pointed me in a direction of another garage which sorted my car in under 30 minutes of turning up! Couldn't recommend this property enough!
Alison
The cottage was comfortable and well maintained. The only drawback was its proximity to the road. A B class road it may be but it was busy and, as the property sits on a straight stretch, vehicles went fast and it was noisy. The living room door to the outside opens onto the roadside. Bedrooms were fine as they are to the rear
We had a lovely week in this fabulous cottage. Its a great location with lots of places to visit within the not to far away area. The cottage had everything we needed and our small dog Sparkleslived the secure garden. Donna the owner was a great help when we had an unexpected loss of water, getting Scottish Water on the case and delivering to us some bottled Water for use till it was fixed. We loved the hot tub and the antislip surface on it meant we felt safer getting in and out. The basket of treats was gratefully appreciated too and we would not hesitate to return.
Michael
Sportsman's Lodge is faultless, It's in a beautiful location with great views . There's so many places to visit we chose Arbroath for the smokies,,wee bear cafe is a unique place for lunch,,kerriemuir has links to Peter Pan and ACDC which for a fan was a real bonus ..Rspb loch is 5 mins away too if you want to see some stunning wildlife. Donna made us feel really welcome with a gift pack on arrival and a personal greeting to explain the facilties. The cottage is furnished to a very high standard and is spotlessly clean with everything you will need plus nespresso coffee to start your day The hot tub was a lovely way to relax after a day out and about . We will definitely stay again in the future.
William
Lovely cottage in lovely location . Would highly recommend to those looking for a peaceful rural break.
Rachel
Beautiful cottage, we loved it.
Anthony
Cottage was beautiful, loved the hot tub, garden was fully enclosed which was great for Mac our dog . Would definitely recommend
Great cottage Everything you would need. Home away from home.
Andrew
In a word perfect. The cottage is finished, both internally and externally, to the highest standard. On arrival everything was beautifully presented thanks Donna and you couldnt ask for more. What the photos dont show is the level of comfort which is outstanding. The sofas in the lounge are perfect for watching a movie on the smart TV excellent Broadband speed and the bed is the best Ive slept on in a rental property. And finally a cottage with blackout blinds in the bedrooms. Perfect for a lie in. The garden is completely secure for your dog and equally safe for children. Cannot recommend this property highly enough. 100 satisfied customer.
Sportsman's Lodge was everything we had hoped for and more, spotlessly clean with every small detail thought of and the hot tub is the icing on the cake, the welcome basket and prosecco was also a lovely touch, we hope tobreturn soon to this wonderful home.
Carolynn
